DIY - 4th of July Lanterns

Red, White & Blue Lanterns

These would be cute for any event.

Supplies needed:
cardstock
glue
scissors
ruler (optional)
stapler
paint, stars (link to template below), stickers & glitter (whatever you want to use to decorate them)
I printed the star template on red, white & blue paper
click here for the star template
A good time for cutting practice!
These lines are about 3/4" apart.
I have to be honest, I only measured the first one.
After that, I just eye-balled it. :)

Then fold the two ends together and staple just the top and bottom.

I also used the paintings they made last week

This was also from a patriotic craft we made last week.
I love how this one looks.
For the handle:
I cut a piece of cardstock about an inch or so width wise.
I glued them to the inside of each lantern.
I saw some really cute 4th of July themed ribbon at Hobby Lobby today.
I want to go back and get it to hang the lantern's on that.

DIY Minnie Mouse party ideas

M's 2nd Birthday party had a Minnie Mouse theme.  I ended up making a lot of the decorations myself.  They were pretty easy.

Here are the supplies I used:
black poster board
black stiff felt
pink & white polka dot stiff felt (I was so excited to find this to match Minnie's bow)
black headbands
glue gun
I hung these Minnie heads around the deck.  They were super cute!

DIY Ladbug Birthday ideas

M's first birthday party was a ladybug theme.  I bought red table covers from the Dollar Store. Then I cut circles out of black poster board to give the tables a ladybug look.  I loved the way it turned out!!!

Of course, a ladybug smash cake (I did not make it)
