Gender Reveal Play Dough Fun!

I am 25 weeks pregnant now and a little late at get this posted!
We found out the gender of our sweet baby # 3 at 22 weeks.

A big thank you to LoveBubs Scented Play Dough  for sending us awesome gender reveal play dough.

This is a fun and unique way to share the news of baby's gender with siblings.

The play dough starts out white.
With some kneading by the kids, the color will slowly change to either blue or pink.

 Baby Brother on the way!!!

My 4 year old beyond loved the play dough.
She loved watching the color change and couldn't wait to do the pink one too :)
*LoveBubs sent us two of each color*
There was little to no mess with the mixing process and the play dough is super soft and the color is vibrant!

We are very excited that our newest addition will be a baby boy and can't wait for January to get here!

Be sure to check out LoveBubs Scented Play Dough  on Etsy!

table scatter
Easter/Spring themed erasers
12 pack of carrots

I used a variety of the same items from the sensory bin to make these.
I hot glued the outside to keep it closed.
 How cute are these???
Not to mention super colorful to explore!

3) Egg shakers

I used colored rice I had on hand. But, plain rice is just fine!
Any type of plastic egg will work great.
I love these eggs from the Dollar Store.
I hot glued the outside so they can't be opened.

Build a Snowman Sensory Bag - Two Ways

 Supplies needed:
Shaving cream
1 - gallon sized freezer bag
1 - quart sized freezer bag
foam sheets in assorted colors
scissors
markers
glitter (optional)
packaging tape (optional)
 Snowman Sensory Bag #1
I cut out the snowman shapes using the foam sheets.
I drew on the snowman with marker.
I threw in some foam snow flakes I've had in my craft supplies.

Next, put everything in the bag.
Add a small amount of shaving cream.  A little goes a long way!

So your little on isn't tempted to open the bag you can seal it with the packaging tape.

Now they can build a snowman in a bag!
Our snowman on the light table.
 Snowman Sensory Bag #2
Same supplies as above.
I cut the shapes out of the foam sheets.

Put all the pieces in the bag. Add the glitter and a small amount of shaving cream
Remember, a little goes a long way!

Now you have two Snowmen sensory bags!
Just like that!!!

Green Thumb Weekend - Day 1

It is our planting and gardening weekend.  I have big hopes that the girls will have more of a green thumb then me.  So, we are involving them in as much of our gardening and planting process as possible.

Sunday is our big day of setting up our garden.  Which I am really excited about and looking forward to. Today the girls helped their daddy plant some bulbs in the front of our house.  It will be exciting to show them the beautiful flowers once they start to sprout and bloom.

Spreading the mulch after the bulbs were planted.

They were having so much fun!

Planting more bulbs

Snowflake was so serious watching her daddy.

Gift Sensory Bags

Sensory Bags make a fun gift!

 They are simple to make
First, I made the finger paint
click here to see finger paint post/recipe

I filled sandwich bags with about a 1/4 cup of the finger paint.
I folded the top down a little and used packaging tape to help keep it closed.

From the craft store I got the cards you see above.
You can also purchase the cards that have a slot for a picture.
The ones above only cost $3.99 for 24.

I taped a q-tip to the card and added a piece of tape to each side so the bag wouldn't fall out.
However, they would be more fun out of the card :)

Baby Play - Treasure Box

I filled a picnic basket with all kinds of baby friendly items from around the house.
Any basket would work.  I actually taped the basket open so she wouldn't have to keep holding it open

Snowflake loved exploring all of the items.  Of course, big sister enjoyed helping too!
